Bunkers made a return to Tylney Park after 7 years. The Met office promised heavy rain but the golf god's smiled upon the lucky 18 Bunkers golfers. Apart from a couple of sprinkles the rain kept away and the sun often broke through the clouds. The course was in good condition although the lush green rough swallowed a great many wayward golf balls. The greens had some tricky "Hills & Valleys" which presented challenging reads on long putts. Not sure about having large oak trees in front of greens ? The showers were VERY hot ! and afterwards the very friendly staff served steak pie with vegetables and gravy - followed by sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. Nice meal and a nice course.

Tony P & Nathan T fined for wearing shorts whilst everyone else wore long trousers.
Ian T for shaking hands on the 18th green - with his cap on !
Samir T for buying range balls and practicing before golf and for nearly being late for his tee shot.
Dave Shorter fined himself for terrible bunker play.
John Furness fined for borrowing money off John Thorp, having his dog's pill alarm going off and for moaning about being in divots on the fairway.
Frazer W for scoring 4 point pars on the 2 hardest holes.

Nick Rothery slam dunked a bunker shot on a par 3 for a birdie and then holed from 110 yards on a par four for an eagle, got 36 points and won nothing (life's tough).
Nigel Jones made his first appearance as a guest and won the best guest prize - he was the only guest ! but Bunkers are generous and very welcoming !!
